ART 131-132 - FUNDAMENTALS OF DESIGN (4 CR.) (4 CR.)
Explores the concepts of two- and three-dimensional design and color.
General Course Purpose:
The course is intended for future professional artist, designers, fine arts teachers, and art historians. The first semester of the first year of design is intended to introduce the student/artist to two-dimensional and three dimensional communication in black and white media.
ART 131 - FUNDAMENTALS OF DESIGN I
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

ART 131 - FUNDAMENTALS OF DESIGN I
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discover and manipulate factors of form in black and white two dimensional and three dimensional media
- Encourage and adopt creative approach and self-critical attitude in one's work
- Develop an awareness of the relationships between studio work and the environment between studio
work and art of the present and the past - Develop a vocabulary of art and design terminology and an ability to use this to successfully
communicate with others - Craftsmanship
